Design requirements

Our team encourages you to provide your designs. We enjoy tackling a challenge and will work with you every step of the way to ensure a perfect final result. When delivering your own design there are some specifications we require to best carry out the project. Following these guidelines will reduce the time and cost of converting your file into our system.

All cutting parameters must be on one layer
All profiles must be of line type – continuous
All curves must be made up of arcs (not many short lines)
All lines and arcs must intersect properly – no breaks or overlaps. Convert the profile into a polyline to see if all items join
Eliminate all blocks, text styles, borders and logos (use the purge command). If you have more than one profile please put them all in one separate file
Please send or fax clear drawings with dimensions – if possible

What files can we use?

At Aquacut (2000) Limited we are proud to offer 2D CAD technology for all of your precision cutting requirements in Auckland. You can send your designs either via email or on disk, in the below formats:

DXF format (preferred) – Drawing Xchange format – Export to 6 decimal place accuracy
DWG format – Autocad LT2000, LT98 or earlier
CDR format CorelDraw – earlier to version 9
